The general aims that the English Language Department at the College of Education for Human Sciences seeks to achieve through its programs are as follows:
- Preparing a generation of middle and preparatory teachers who have the ability to teach English vocabulary in these educational sessions.
- Providing students with an academic background in English language skills that qualifies them to face the challenges of contemporary life through familiarity with the principles of systematic, organized thinking, studying various subjects in literature, training them in theoretical and applied criticism, and acquiring the principles of translation.
- Enabling students to review the linguistic skills they have acquired in previous academic stages and deepen, consolidate and develop them.
- Enabling students to rely on themselves in understanding what they learn and hear in the English language outside the previous academic boundaries.
- Highly qualifying students to continue in postgraduate programmes
