Commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq (PBUH)

On the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), the Presidency of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq University in Salah al-Din, in cooperation with the Saba' al-Dujail Association, organized a cultural dialogue seminar entitled: “The Role of Women in the Time of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him): Aspirations and Challenges.” The seminar was attended by a distinguished academic and cultural audience.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Hikmat Abd delivered a speech addressing the most prominent roles played by women within the Ja'fari school of thought.

Sheikh Dr. Ali al-Fawadi presented a lecture discussing the status of women in Islam in general, their specific position in the thought of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), and their role in building society. He also reviewed the challenges they faced throughout history and the aspirations they sought to achieve in various fields.

The seminar also witnessed a large turnout and active participation from the Aqila Zaynab al-Kubra School for Women's Religious Sciences, which contributed to enriching the dialogue and enhancing the scholarly and realistic approach to the seminar's topic.
This seminar is part of a series of cultural activities aimed at promoting intellectual awareness, reviving the scientific and humanistic legacy of the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and linking its contents to the reality of contemporary society.
